ARTIST PROJECT INFO
My solo exhibition will explore Oklahoma history and Sac and Fox material culture. Four women’s hand-sewn ribbonwork blankets will feature historic photographs important to Sac and Fox history, including the removal to Indian Territory and the boarding school era. Accompanying the installation of the blankets will be the portraits of four Sac and Fox women who have contributed to the continuation of the Nation. Each woman will be given the honor of wearing the blankets in their portrait.
