PROJECT INFO
I Bear the Fruit of My Ancestors celebrated Vietnam's enduring spirit, underscoring the significance of storytelling and history. Featuring large paper lanterns of various fruits and an ancestral altar, it created a contemporary, ethereal tribute to past generations and their sacrifices for a better life. In collaboration with Et Al., this installation provided a unique opportunity for viewers to engage in community dining, echoing the tradition of sharing a meal to celebrate death anniversaries. Viewers were invited to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Vietnamese heritage, sharing stories and breaking bread to foster connections while preserving the essence of cultural legacy.
Event Info: Exhibited at Belafonte
